Once a month (except December and the summer months), from 10 a.m. – noon, AECPTA holds a General Meeting at The Church on Rush Creek (southeast corner of Green Oaks and Bowen). These meetings feature speakers with practical information relevant to mothers raising young children (positive discipline, kindergarten readiness, raising fit & healthy families). There is also time for socializing, coffee, a light breakfast (provided by members), and any new announcements, information or business.

While moms attend the meeting, children enjoy special programs in our excellent nursery. Each month, our Children’s Programs Director coordinates a craft and snack for our kids. They love it!

  • August: Get acquainted
Quick intros by each attending member
  • October: Pencil vs. Pen Problems (How to Prioritize & Evaluate Situations)
    Jamie Richardson, writer for examiner.com
  • November: Holiday Mixer
$5 Gift Card Exchange & Ugliest Holiday Sweater Contest
  • January: What is my child trying to tell me? Looking at Children’s Behavior
