If you’re interested in becoming a member, you can submit a message through this site or through the Meetup site, and we’ll be happy to answer any questions!
- General meetings: Once a month from 10 am to noon, moms enjoy a guest speaker while kids play at our on-site nursery
- Play Groups: A chance for the kids to play at the home of a member with other children from their own age (Groups: 0-1 / 1-2 / 2-3 / 3+)
- Family Fun Day: A monthly event for the whole family (Examples: Jumping Party, Swimming, Fort Worth Zoo)
- Kids Kuisine: A lunch outing at ‘kid friendly’ restaurants (Examples: McDonalds, Chick-Fil-A or the Parks food court)
- Girls Night Out: Moms enjoy a night out together while dads stay home with the kids! (Examples: leisurely dinners and girl-talk, chick flicks, dancing)
- Guys Night Out: Dads enjoy a night out together while moms stay home with the kids! (Examples: Poker night, Lone Star Park, Rangers game)
- Park Pals: Pack a lunch and wear out the kids at one of Arlington’s great parks
- Pokeno: A bingo-like card game played for prizes (Another night with just the gals!)
- Community Support & Charities:
- Through Mission Arlington/Mission Metroplex, the AECPTA Pharmacy Fund underwrites the cost of prescription medications for many children in need.
- Alpha Foundation, also sponsored by Mission Metroplex, provides emergency childcare and training to homeless and at-risk families. It also provides childcare to mothers in temporary crisis.
- Kooken Pre-Kindergarten Education Center is an Arlington ISD preschool for children with special needs.
- Operation Clothes Touch and The Supply Train provide clothes and supplies for school-age children in the Arlington ISD.
- Alliance for Children provides help, hope and healing to abused children and their families through coordinated investigative services and group counseling for sexually abused children and protective parents.
